AVAI•Avaí Bio presented a sustained α-Klotho delivery approach at the Sept. 18-19 Klotho Conference in Miami; its preclinical program has completed a GMP master cell bank.
1. Preclinical program update
Walter H. Günzburg presented a 20-minute update on sustained α-Klotho delivery using Austrianova’s Cell-in-a-Box encapsulated-cell technology. The work is being developed through Klothonova, a 50/50 joint venture formed in 2025 by Avaí Bio and Austrianova; the partners reported completing a GMP master cell bank for genetically modified α-Klotho-producing cells.
