AVAX One to Deploy 10 MW Alberta AI/HPC Site with Gas Power
AVAX One is advancing its 10 MW Tier 3 AI/HPC site in Alberta with a behind-the-meter natural gas model and has named BlueFlare Energy as owner’s engineer to start technical execution. The project is set for Q1 2027 readiness, and the company held $27 million in cash at March 31, covering three years of runway.

AVAX One is advancing a 10 MW Tier 3-ready AI/HPC land site in Alberta with BlueFlare Energy Solutions selected as owner’s engineer representative, moving the project from letter-of-intent to formal technical execution ahead of a Q1 2027 deployment readiness target.
2. Behind-the-Meter Gas Power Strategy
The facility will employ a fully behind-the-meter natural gas generation model to bypass North American grid interconnection queues exceeding 2,400 GW, which can face 24–60 month approval timelines, aiming to accelerate customer access to energized compute capacity.
3. Financial Position and Growth Pipeline
As of March 31, AVAX One held $27 million in cash, securing over three years of operating runway, and is evaluating additional Western Canada sites ranging from 5 MW to 50 MW while engaging HPC operators, colocation providers and institutional capital partners.
