Aviat Networks Launches $250M Long-Haul Microwave Portfolio with 50% Capacity Boost
AVNW•Aviat Networks expanded its all-indoor microwave platform by integrating Pasolink and IRU600 products, unlocking an incremental addressable market exceeding $250 million. The upgraded Pasolink VR boosts nodal capacity by up to 50%, while the new Pasolink LH long-haul solution delivers over 10 Gbps per antenna, with shipments due Q3 2026.
1. Platform Integration and Market Opportunity
Aviat Networks merged Pasolink and IRU600 products into a unified all-indoor microwave solution, unlocking an addressable market valued at over $250 million for long-distance connectivity. This integration simplifies upgrades, reduces deployment complexity and positions Aviat to capture additional demand in trunking and backbone applications.
2. North American Capacity Upgrade
In North America, private network operators can upgrade to the Pasolink VR platform, which supports up to 16 radio channels per compact indoor chassis, increasing nodal capacity by up to 50%. The solution offers hitless software upgrades, comprehensive redundancy and leverages existing IRU600 and ODU600 radios with minimal disruption.
3. Pasolink LH International Long-Haul Solution
Pasolink LH, built on IRU600 hardware operating in the 4–11 GHz bands, delivers over 10 Gbps of aggregate capacity per antenna while reducing antenna size by 50% and weight by 75%. Its all-indoor design keeps active equipment sheltered, lowering operational expenditures and eliminating the need for tower climbs to add capacity or upgrade features.
4. Availability and Outlook
Aviat has secured initial orders across multiple regions and plans to begin shipments in Q3 CY2026. The company expects the enhanced platform to drive growth among service providers and private network operators by leveraging its installed base and delivering mission-critical reliability.
