Avista filed an annual rate adjustment with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission to increase electric revenues by $25.2 million, representing a 7.4% hike effective May 1, 2026. The proposal aligns customer rates with actual costs of operating electric energy efficiency programs.

2. Customer Bill Impacts

Under the proposal, a residential customer using 939 kWh per month would see bills rise from $115.54 to $124.44, an $8.90 monthly increase or 7.7%. Other rate schedules range increases between 7.1% and 7.9% across general service, large service, pumping and lighting.

3. Regulatory Process and Next Steps

The filing is subject to public review and IPUC approval, allowing customers to submit written comments to the Commission. Rate applications and supporting materials are available for review at Commission and Avista offices and on their websites.
