AVITA Medical’s Cohealyx Cuts Mean Graft Time by Nearly 20 Days

RCELRCEL

AVITA Medical’s Cohealyx-I interim results in 40 patients show mean graft time of 13.6 days, almost 20 days shorter than the 33.2-day benchmark (p<0.001). Median time to graft was 11 days, with 25% grafted within seven days and 72% within 14 days, indicating high satisfaction and strong adoption prospects.

1. Interim Cohealyx-I Results

The Cohealyx-I multi-center study enrolled 40 patients with full-thickness wounds and reported a mean time to autografting of 13.6 days vs. a 33.2-day literature benchmark, achieving statistical superiority (p<0.001). The median time to grafting was 11 days, with grafts placed as early as five days and 72% of patients grafted within two weeks.

2. Investigator Satisfaction and Adoption Potential

Investigators reported 90% satisfaction at the time of grafting, including among predominantly first-time users, highlighting consistent performance across diverse and complex wound types. High satisfaction rates and early grafting metrics suggest strong potential for broader clinical adoption of Cohealyx in acute wound care.

3. Study Continuation and Planned Webinar

The ongoing study will collect a full dataset expected in 2026 to confirm durability and safety outcomes over six months post-grafting. Management will host a webinar on April 16 during a major burn association meeting to review interim data and case studies with key opinion leaders.
