Barclays forecasts China’s labor force will shrink by 37 million over the next decade if participation stays at 65%, and estimates deployment of up to 24 million humanoid robots by 2035 could offset roughly 60% of that decline. The bank notes robots could represent almost 4% of the workforce under optimistic innovation and deployment scenarios.
2. London Concert Tourism Forecast
The bank predicts Harry Styles’ 12-date London residency will generate £1.06 billion in combined ticket, accommodation, travel and hospitality spending, equating to around £981 per attendee. This projection underscores rising consumer appetite for live events and the economic impact of concert tourism on urban hospitality sectors.
