BASF Agricultural Solutions Canada opened nominations for its fourth Growing Home program, inviting farmers in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario to nominate organizations for a share of a $160,000 prize fund. Voting runs March 31–April 17 to select twelve winners with awards of $25,000, $10,000 and $5,000.

1. BASFY Strengthens Community Engagement with Growing Home Program

BASFY’s Agricultural Solutions division in Canada has opened nominations for its fourth annual Growing Home with BASF initiative, inviting farmers in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario to nominate local non-profits for a share of a CAD 216,000 prize fund. The program allocates four first-place grants of CAD 34,000, four second-place grants of CAD 13,600 and four third-place grants of CAD 6,800 across the four provinces. Since its launch in 2023, the initiative has distributed CAD 451,800 to 19 organizations, underscoring BASFY’s commitment to rural communities and enhancing its ESG profile ahead of its May 2026 reporting cycle.

2. Strategic R&D Investment Bolsters BASFY’s Agricultural Solutions

In fiscal year 2024, BASFY’s Agricultural Solutions division reported sales of €9.8 billion, with €919 million invested in research and development—an 11% increase from 2023. The division operates three Canadian production sites (Lethbridge, Saskatoon, Regina) and multiple research farms, supporting over 625 employees. These investments in seed-trait integration, crop-protection chemistries and digital farming tools are expected to drive mid-single-digit revenue growth for BASFY through 2027, in line with its long-term target of doubling sustainable-product sales by 2030.

3. BASFY’s Stock-Growth Prospects in the U.S. and Europe

BASFY shares trade as American Depositary Receipts in New York and contribute to BASF’s overall €65.3 billion sales base. With European industrial chemicals demand recovering—particularly in automotive and construction—analysts forecast a 4% to 6% compound annual growth rate in BASFY EPS over the next two years. Continued support for rural programs like Growing Home and ramped-up R&D investments may further enhance investor sentiment, positioning BASFY to outperform peer ADRs in diversified chemical producers.
