Bath & Body Works marks the 20th anniversary of its Japanese Cherry Blossom fragrance, which has generated over $1.5 billion in lifetime sales and ranks among the top five best-selling scents. To celebrate, the brand launched a new Forever Cherry Blossom fragrance and reintroduced its early 2000s Cherry Blossom scent.

1. 20th Anniversary Milestone

Bath & Body Works celebrates two decades since the 2006 debut of Japanese Cherry Blossom, a fragrance crafted with high-quality ingredients by master perfumer Harry Fremont. The scent has amassed over $1.5 billion in lifetime sales, consistently ranking among the brand’s top five best-selling fragrances globally.

2. New and Returning Fragrances

To mark the milestone, the company introduced Forever Cherry Blossom—a blend of watery pear, sakura petals, magnolia, creamy sandalwood and warm musk—available in fine fragrance mist, body lotion, body wash and body cream. It also brought back the original early 2000s Cherry Blossom formula, featuring dewy watermelon, red plum, cherry blossom, sheer freesia and soft sandalwood as an online exclusive.

3. Global Distribution and Brand Impact

Japanese Cherry Blossom and its anniversary editions are available in Bath & Body Works’ 1,900 U.S. and Canadian stores, 500 international locations and online. With top-three rankings across Europe and presence in over 50 countries, the anniversary activations aim to drive seasonal traffic, deepen customer loyalty and reinforce the brand’s fragrance leadership.
