In the fourth quarter, Baupost Group trimmed its Liberty Global position by 59%, ranking it among the largest share reductions in the portfolio. This significant cut reflects a strategic shift away from cable and telecom exposure within the fund’s 13F filing.
2. Portfolio Realignment
Alongside the Liberty Global reduction, Baupost increased its Amazon position to 2,121,391 shares and boosted Fiserv holdings by 146%. The fund also fully exited PagSeguro Digital and reduced stakes in CRH Plc and Alphabet Class C during the quarter.
