Bausch + Lomb named Thomas J. Appio interim CEO, effective immediately, as Brent Saunders departs. Appio has led parent Bausch Health since 2022 and joined Bausch + Lomb in 2010.

Thomas J. Appio was named interim CEO of Bausch + Lomb, effective immediately. Brent Saunders will depart, ending his tenure as CEO that began in 2023.

2. Appio’s background

Appio has served as CEO of parent Bausch Health since 2022. He joined Bausch + Lomb in 2010 as managing director, China, and later led Bausch + Lomb International as president from 2016.
