Beckman Coulter Diagnostics launched the DxU 1800 fully automated urinalysis system in the US to address rising testing volumes.
Capacity and planned assay expansion
DxU 1800c processes up to 300 samples per hour, stores up to 2,000,000 samples and 100,000 strip images, and shows strip images onscreen.
An expanded chemistry menu is planned, including creatinine and microalbumin assays, to add kidney-function insight without workflow changes.
Integrated chemistry and microscopy workflow
The system integrates the new DxU 1800c chemistry analyzer with the DxU Iris microscopy analyzer to unify chemistry results with particle imaging.
DxU Iris automation cuts manual microscopic review rates to under 3%, targeting higher throughput and lower staffing pressure in core labs.
