Berkshire Hathaway Energy will likely restart its Cove Point LNG export plant in Maryland in the coming days after planned annual maintenance. The plant can process about 0.8 billion cubic feet of gas per day.

Berkshire Hathaway Energy will likely restart its Cove Point LNG export plant in Maryland in the coming days, after shutting it around September 19 for planned annual maintenance. A company notice to customers said most planned maintenance at the Pleasant Valley Compressor Station had been completed and restrictions would end effective October 6, 2026.
2. Plant ownership and capacity
Cove Point can turn about 0.8 billion cubic feet of gas per day into LNG. Berkshire Hathaway Energy operates the plant and owns 75% of the facility; units of Brookfield Asset Management own the other 25%.
