Bioxytran reports functional gains in first CIDP patient treated with PLICID galectin antagonist
BIXT•First CIDP patient shows reported functional gains with PLICID
Bioxytran reported clinical observations from the first CIDP patient treated with investigational PLICID, a once-weekly intravenous galectin antagonist.
Results have already been presented, showing reported improvement in finger function and walking ability.
No adverse events were reported during the treatment course.
The update was based on a single patient, limiting conclusions on safety or efficacy.
Bioxytran plans a larger, appropriately designed clinical study to further evaluate PLICID in CIDP.
