BlackBerry Launches On-Prem UEM with AI, Post-Quantum and macOS Support
BB•BlackBerry will extend its Unified Endpoint Management platform this summer with on-premises macOS support, multi-tenant management, secure file sharing and optional AI-assisted operations. Release advances post-quantum readiness by aligning cryptographic libraries with NIST standards and leverages BSI Common Criteria and NATO Restricted certifications for government and regulated users.
1. Sovereign Endpoint Management Enhancements
BlackBerry is expanding its Unified Endpoint Management capabilities to support on-premises deployment of macOS, Windows and Android devices. The update introduces multi-tenant management for service providers and large estates, plus secure file sharing with embedded access controls that travel with each document.
2. AI-Assisted and Post-Quantum Security
Optional AI-assisted operations streamline device administration within a security-first framework under customer control. Cryptographic libraries are being upgraded to align with NIST post-quantum standards, paving the way for future FIPS 140-3 accreditation and embedding quantum-resistant protections from server to device.
3. Certifications and Availability
BlackBerry UEM remains the only endpoint management solution certified under Germany’s BSI Common Criteria for Apple and Samsung devices and aligns with NATO Restricted requirements. The new features are expected to be available in summer 2026, with select console enhancements rolling out later in the year.
