Apptio, an IBM unit, is previewing Conversational Insights, an AI-powered interface that allows stakeholders to ask plain-language questions about technology spend and receive immediate, data-backed answers within the Apptio platform. This feature aims to enhance financial governance by connecting cost, consumption and business value in real time and is expected to reach general availability in 2026.
2. Hybrid IT Cost Management Enhancements
Alongside Conversational Insights, IBM is rolling out three new capabilities: Data Center Total Cost of Ownership to model rack, power and cooling costs; Cloudability Intelligent Forecasting, integrating watsonx.ai for anomaly-free cloud-spend projections; and Cloudability Advanced Containers, for real-time container-level cost visibility. Data Center TCO and forecasting will be available in Q2 2026.
