BlackRock expects to sustain asset growth in Brazil regardless of election outcome
BLK•BlackRock expects its assets under management in Brazil to grow around 30% in 2027 regardless of the election outcome, after forecasting 30% to 35% growth this year. International investments account for about 90% of its Brazilian assets.
1. Brazil asset growth
BlackRock expects assets under management in Brazil to grow between 30% and 35% this year, following 12% growth in 2025 and an outflow in 2024. Brazil chief executive Bruno Barino said the firm thinks it can repeat around 30% growth in 2027, supported by clients’ rising interest in international investments.
2. Reforms and investment
International investments represent about 90% of BlackRock’s managed assets in Brazil. Barino said the country’s ability to attract long-term investment depends less on the election result than on the depth of fiscal reforms and policies to boost competitiveness.
