BlackRock TCP Capital named Jason Mehring chair, director, and CEO effective Sept. 2, replacing Philip Tseng, who resigned effective Aug. 31.
Mehring is a BlackRock managing director and previously served as president since Nov. 2024, leading U.S. core middle-market direct lending within Private Financing Solutions.
Dan Worrell became president effective Sept. 2, moving from co-chief investment officer; he is a BlackRock managing director.
Worrell previously led investment activity at Tennenbaum Capital Partners, following roles in high-yield portfolio management at Mulholland Capital Advisors.
Tseng exited the investment committee as a voting member effective Aug. 31; Mehring and Worrell remained among voting members.
