BNP Paribas partners with Google Cloud on five-year agentic AI deal
BNP Paribas signed a five-year partnership with Google Cloud to expand access to AI-optimized cloud infrastructure. The agreement covers Gemini models and broader deployment of agentic AI, with an initial rollout targeting BNP Paribas CIB.
1. Five-year partnership
The agreement covers Gemini models, Gemini Enterprise and broader deployment of agentic AI within BNP Paribas’ multi-cloud strategy and governance controls. The initial rollout targets BNP Paribas CIB, including AI agents for workflows such as preparing corporate credit memos.
2. Existing AI uses
Gemini models will be integrated into LLM@CIB, BNP Paribas’ internal generative AI assistant used by more than 65,000 employees. Nickel, the bank’s payment account business, already uses Gemini as the base model for Nickel Assist, which supports 200 customer advisers.
