Nanexa enters EUR 1.165 billion global licensing deal with Novo Nordisk for long-acting injectables
NVO•Nanexa entered an exclusive global licensing and collaboration agreement with Novo Nordisk for its PharmaShell platform, with up to EUR 1.165 billion in potential payments, including EUR 615 million in upfront and development and regulatory milestones.
1. Licensing agreement
The agreement gives Novo Nordisk rights to up to five development programs targeting long-acting injectable peptide drugs for obesity, type 2 diabetes and other cardiometabolic indications. It aims to develop monthly and quarterly dosing profiles; Nanexa is also eligible for sales milestones and low single-digit royalties on future product sales.
