The San Francisco, California-based fintech firm forecast its first-quarter revenue in the range of $1.19 billion to $1.22 billion, topping the $1.14 billion expected by analysts on average, according to data compiled by LSEG.
The company also named current Chief Operating Officer Michael Linford as president of the firm.
Affirm's gross merchandise volume, the total dollar amount of all transactions on its platform, rose 36% to $14.1 billion in the fourth quarter compared with the previous year.
Total transactions increased 41% to 53 million in the quarter, while active consumers jumped 21% to 27.8 million.
Overall revenue grew 33% to $1.17 billion, benefiting from stronger interest income; operating margin improved to 12.6% in the quarter, from 6.6% a year ago.
Affirm's shares are up over 4% so far this year, as of Thursday's close.
