- BNY elected Vikram “Vik” Malhotra as an independent director, effective Oct. 1, 2026.
- The board will expand to 12 directors, with 11 independent.
- Malhotra has been a senior partner at McKinsey since 1998, advising CEOs and boards on strategy, organization and growth.
- He previously served as McKinsey’s Chairman of the Americas, sat on its Shareholders Council and led parts of the banking practice.
