1. Real-Time Payments Milestone
In February, BNY Mellon completed a record $10m inter-company payment on the RTP network, achieving the first instant transaction above $1m after transaction limits rose. This milestone underscores its ability to handle higher-value instant payments for large corporate transactions.
2. Payments and Liquidity Unit Performance
The payments, liquidity management and trade finance unit reported $2.0bn revenue in fiscal 2025, a 15% increase year-over-year driven by higher net interest income and new business wins. Strong performance highlights growing corporate demand for real-time liquidity solutions.
3. Strategic Positioning and Future Integration
Through RTP and FedNow rail integration, enhanced bank-level controls, and API-driven data, BNY Mellon offers 24/7 liquidity and immediate fund access. Continued investment in real-time rails positions the bank to capture a larger share of cross-border and domestic instant payment flows.
