BP sold a 5% stake in Aker BP on November 5, 2026, at NOK 311 per share, raising approximately NOK 9.83 billion ($1.06 billion) in gross proceeds to strengthen its balance sheet. Its remaining 68.7 million shares represent a 10.9% interest, down from 15.9%, and are subject to a 90-day lock-up with customary exemptions.
BP now expects full-year 2026 divestment and other proceeds of around $9 billion, roughly $1 billion above its previous guidance.
