Brazil's Gerdau Q2 profit jumps 70%, meets estimates

SAO PAULO, Aug. 4 (Reuters) - Brazilian steelmaker Gerdau reported adjusted second-quarter net profit of 1.5 billion reais ($292.63 million) on Tuesday, up 69.7% from a year earlier and matching the forecast by analysts in a LSEG poll.
Adjusted EBITDA came in at 3.4 billion reais, up 33.9% from a year earlier and above the 3.2 billion reais estimated in the poll.
