BriaCell Signs MoU with Uneedle to Scale Microneedle Delivery for Phase 3 Breast Cancer Therapy
BCTX•BriaCell entered a non-binding MoU with Uneedle to scale proprietary microneedle devices for intradermal administration of Bria-IMT, its lead Phase 3 candidate in metastatic breast cancer. The agreement targets commercial readiness of Bria-IMT pending regulatory approval by expanding Uneedle’s manufacturing capacity for consistent, patient-friendly dosing.
1. MoU Details
BriaCell and Uneedle signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding to establish a plan for scaling Uneedle’s silicon microneedle devices in commercial quantities. The technology is already deployed in BriaCell’s pivotal Phase 3 trial (NCT06072612) for advanced metastatic breast cancer, supporting intradermal delivery of the cell-based immunotherapy Bria-IMT.
2. Commercial and Clinical Impact
The agreement aims to streamline manufacturing scale-up and ensure precision and consistency in drug delivery ahead of potential regulatory approval. This collaboration is designed to enhance patient and provider experience through faster, more convenient administration, and lays groundwork for potential commercialization upon clearance of Bria-IMT.
