Bristol Myers Squibb’s Camzyos shows sustained efficacy in 56-week pediatric heart disease trial
BMY•Bristol Myers Squibb said Phase 3 SCOUT-HCM results showed sustained reductions in heart outflow obstruction and symptom improvements after 56 weeks of Camzyos treatment in adolescents with symptomatic obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. No new safety signals emerged, and no participants had the specified decline in heart pumping function.
1. 56-week trial results
Bristol Myers Squibb presented 56-week Phase 3 SCOUT-HCM results for Camzyos in adolescents with symptomatic obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Treatment sustained reductions in heart outflow obstruction, with symptom improvements consistent with earlier results; no new safety signals emerged, and no participants experienced the specified decline in heart pumping function.
2. Approval and presentations
The FDA cleared Camzyos in September 2026 for pediatric patients weighing at least 30 kilograms, based on earlier 28-week results. Additional clinical and real-world findings are scheduled for presentation at the American Heart Association’s Scientific Sessions, November 6-9, 2026.
