Brixmor Property Group Cuts Emissions 56%, Reports 95%+ Employee Satisfaction
BRX•Brixmor released its eighth annual Corporate Responsibility report highlighting over 95% employee satisfaction and voluntary turnover under 10% for the third straight year. The company cut Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 56% versus 2018 and reduced common area water and electricity usage by 60% and 57%, respectively.
1. Release of Eighth Annual CR Report
Brixmor issued its eighth annual Corporate Responsibility report detailing its 2025 CR strategy, initiatives and performance across four pillars: Employee Engagement, Community Connection, Environmental Stewardship and Ethics & Governance.
2. Employee Engagement and Community Impact
Employee engagement exceeded a 95% satisfaction rate in the third consecutive survey while annual voluntary turnover remained at or below 10%. The company’s teams logged over 3,400 community service hours, donated the equivalent of more than 20,000 meals and hosted 190 portfolio events.
3. Environmental Stewardship Achievements
Brixmor reduced Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 56% compared to 2018, surpassing its 50% reduction goal ahead of the 2030 target. The portfolio achieved like-for-like common area water and electricity usage reductions of 60% and 57%, respectively.
4. Ethics and Governance Ratings
The company maintained the top corporate governance rating from Green Street for the second year and secured the highest ISS Governance QualityScore of 1, reflecting strong oversight, transparency and shareholder alignment.
