1. $35 Billion AI XPV Platform Launch
Broadcom has joined forces with Apollo and Blackstone’s credit and insurance arm to create an AI XPV Platform backed by a $35 billion initial tranche. The initiative will deploy over 20 gigawatts of compute capacity using Broadcom’s XPUs and networking solutions, kickstarting with more than 1 gigawatt for Anthropic’s expansion in Fluidstack sites by mid-2026.
2. Private Cloud Outlook 2026 Findings
Broadcom’s latest Private Cloud Outlook reveals that 56% of enterprises are running or planning production AI inference on private clouds, while public cloud share for those workloads fell from 56% to 41%. The report highlights cost as the top public cloud concern (31%), with 97% of IT leaders reporting wasted spend and 83% considering repatriation of workloads to private infrastructure.
3. Business Impact
These developments position Broadcom to capture growing demand for AI infrastructure and software amid enterprise migration to private clouds. The XPV Platform’s scale and the survey’s emphasis on cost predictability and control are likely to drive increased sales of Broadcom’s semiconductor and infrastructure software solutions.
