Broadcom jumps 6% on $185B Google AI capex, unveils Wi-Fi 8 AP and switch
Broadcom shares rose 6% after Alphabet said it will spend up to $185 billion on AI datacenter capex, boosting demand for its custom ASICs and TPUs. Broadcom also debuted its Wi-Fi 8 access point and Trident X3+ switch using the BCM49438 AI-accelerated chip with MACsec security, while its stock tumbled 6.6% to $309.
