Brokerages see next BOJ rate hike in December
TLT•Several brokerages expect the Bank of Japan’s next rate hike in December. The policy rate is 1.25%, and the BOJ’s next policy decision is due October 30.

Brokerage forecasts range from one to four rate hikes through 2027, with each increase forecast at 25 basis points. J.P. Morgan and TD Securities forecast four hikes beginning in December 2026, while HSBC forecasts one in the first quarter of 2027.
