Brown & Brown has appointed Dorothea (Dori) Henderson as CIO, responsible for enterprise technology strategy, AI/data initiatives, system reliability and tech integration for acquisitions. She starts Feb. 23 after leading digital transformation at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield and holding leadership roles at Collins Aerospace for 18 years.

Brown & Brown has appointed Dorothea (Dori) Henderson as chief information technology officer effective Feb. 23. In this role, she will lead the company’s enterprise technology strategy, drive data and artificial intelligence initiatives, strengthen system reliability and security, support technology integration for acquisitions and accelerate digital capabilities across all segments.
2. Professional Background
Henderson most recently served as senior vice president and chief digital information officer at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, where she led enterprise IT, modernized user experiences and improved operational resilience. She spent 18 years at Collins Aerospace in leadership roles spanning cloud engineering, cybersecurity, global networks and business aviation digital solutions, and holds a finance and accounting degree from Penn State.
