Bruker acquired the remaining 60% stake in TOFWERK AG, raising its ownership to 100% and integrating ultra-fast TOF-MS technology for small-molecule applications. TOFWERK generated approximately $40 million in 2025 revenue, operates over 1,000 instruments globally, and employs 130 staff focused on atmospheric chemistry, exposomics and semiconductor cleanroom monitoring.

1. Bruker Acquires Remaining 60% of TOFWERK AG, Reaching Full Ownership

Bruker Corporation has completed the acquisition of the remaining 60% stake in Switzerland-based TOFWERK AG, bringing its total ownership to 100%. Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Thun, TOFWERK designs ultra-fast time-of-flight mass spectrometers for small-molecule applications. The company operates with 130 employees, has deployed over 1,000 instruments globally, and generated approximately $40 million in revenue in 2025. This consolidation secures Bruker’s access to high-efficiency multi-reflector TOF technology and strengthens its position in markets such as atmospheric chemistry research, air quality monitoring, exposomics, food and flavor testing, and semiconductor cleanroom monitoring.

2. Strategic Integration and Product Portfolio Expansion

Following the deal, TOFWERK will maintain its distinct Swiss engineering brand and continue R&D activities under the Bruker umbrella. Key offerings include the field-deployable MIP-TOF for trace element analysis, customizable FIB-TOF OEM modules for electron microscopy, an automated high-throughput solution for aromatic profiling in food packaging, and the ecTOF™ system that combines electron ionization and chemical ionization in a single GC-TOF-MS workflow. Bruker CALID Group President Juergen Srega highlighted that integrating these capabilities will accelerate development of solutions like DART-TOF-MS for chromatography-free, high-throughput screening, targeting growth in semiconductor fabs and environmental monitoring applications.

3. Investor Engagement at J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference

Bruker’s senior leadership will present at the 45th annual J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference in San Francisco on January 12, 2026, at 9:00 AM Pacific Time. The live audio webcast and subsequent 30-day replay will be hosted on Bruker’s Investor Relations website. Management is expected to discuss the TOFWERK integration, revenue synergies, and outlook for Bruker’s post-genomic life science, specialty diagnostics, and applied markets businesses, with an emphasis on next-generation semiconductor metrology and cleantech research collaborations.
