BUZZ-AMD falls; says its newest AI server is in full production
AMD•AMD shares fall as Helios enters full production
Advanced Micro Devices' AMD.O shares fell 3.5% to $533 after CEO Lisa Su said Helios, AMD's second generation of AI servers aimed at rivaling Nvidia's NVDA.O flagship products, is in full production and will ship in the coming months.
Su added that Helios shipments are slated to start at the end of the third quarter.
Analyst cites broader market and semiconductor weakness
Emarketer analyst Jacob Bourne attributed the drop in shares to overall weakness in the U.S. stock market and a selloff of semiconductor stocks.
As of the last close, AMD had soared 158% year to date.
