Wall Street edges lower after producer prices data
Wall Street's main indexes edged lower on Thursday after producer prices data for August raised expectations of an interest rate hike this month, while an escalating conflict in the Middle East kept oil prices above $100 a barrel.
At 11:30 EDT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was down 0.44% at 52,152.53. The S&P 500 .SPX was down 0.39% at 7,606.23, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was down 0.43% at 26,140.13.
