CBTCBT

Cabot received an A- for Water Security and retained a B for Climate Change in CDP’s 2025 assessment, marking a one-notch water score gain from 2024. The A- rating exceeds global and industry averages, reflecting stronger water-risk management and sustainable practices under stricter reporting standards.

1. Cabot Corporation Earns A- Water Security Rating

Cabot Corporation has achieved an A- rating for Water Security in the CDP’s 2025 assessment, a significant improvement from its B rating in 2024. The company’s enhanced score places it above both global and industry averages, reflecting its robust water risk management practices and investments in sustainable water use across its global operations. Cabot’s climate change rating remained at B, consistent with last year, driven by strengthened disclosures on climate risk, deeper engagement with suppliers on emissions reductions, and active participation in industry-wide decarbonization initiatives.

2. Consistent Five-Year Sustainability Momentum

Over the past five years, Cabot has demonstrated a steady upward trajectory in its CDP ratings, achieving these gains despite tightening reporting requirements and heightened stakeholder scrutiny. In 2025, CDP evaluated more than 24,800 companies—representing two-thirds of global market capitalization—underscoring the competitive context of Cabot’s performance. Jennifer Chittick, SVP of Safety, Health and Environment and Chief Sustainability Officer, highlighted that cross-functional teams delivered targeted programs in water stewardship, carbon reduction, and supply-chain resilience, laying the groundwork for further leadership-level ratings in coming assessments.
