CAMP4 Therapeutics Q2 loss per share misses estimates on non-cash derivative charge
CAMP•Expenses rose modestly in the quarter
Research and development expenses increased slightly, mainly due to clinical and preclinical study costs.
General and administrative expenses also rose, driven by higher stock-based compensation, partly offset by lower facilities costs.
Clinical trial plans and analyst expectations
CAMP4 expects to initiate a Phase 1/2 clinical trial of CMP-002 in Q4 2026.
The company has also submitted regulatory filings in the EU and UK to support broader trial enrollment.
Wall Street's median 12-month price target for CAMP4 Therapeutics Corp is $8.00, about 76.6% above its August 12 closing price of $4.53.
Cash runway extended by post-quarter financing
The company closed a $50.1 million private placement tranche after quarter-end, which it says extends its cash runway through the end of 2028.
CAMP4 said current cash is sufficient to fund planned activities through the end of 2028.
Q2 loss widened on derivative liability charge
US biopharmaceutical developer CAMP4 Therapeutics said its second-quarter loss per share missed analyst expectations.
