Canaan Secures Follow-On Order from Tether for High-Density Immersion-Cooled Modules
Canaan secured a follow-on order from Tether for its custom high-density immersion-cooled hash board modules, developed under a 2025 R&D framework with ACME Swisstech. These modules, to be deployed in a South American Tether facility, offer optimized thermal management, dynamic hash-rate control and increased compute density.

Building on a successful 2025 proof-of-concept, Canaan secured a follow-on order from Tether for high-density hash board modules. These modules will be deployed in a Tether-affiliated South American immersion-cooled mining and compute facility.
2. Advanced Modular Mining Technology
The modules leverage Canaan’s advanced ASIC chips within a modular architecture, offering optimized thermal management, dynamic hash-rate control and increased compute density. Their design decouples compute components from power supply and enclosures, simplifying maintenance and enabling flexible upgrades.
3. Strategic Partnership and Expansion
The collaboration underscores a shift toward partner-driven, modular mining systems and includes an option for Tether to purchase additional modules. This agreement strengthens Canaan’s position in the enterprise mining market and lays groundwork for potential revenue growth through future volume expansions.
