Canada stocks: TSX opens higher as soft US inflation data dims Fed rate-hike bets

Canada’s main stock index opened higher on Wednesday, led by gains in mining shares. The S&P/TSX Composite Index rose 0.2% to 35,534.46 points by 9:32 a.m. ET.
