Capital Clean Energy Takes Delivery of 174,000 cbm LNG Carrier Agamemnon
CCEC•Capital Clean Energy Carriers took delivery of the 174,000 cbm LNG carrier Agamemnon on June 17, 2026, and began a charter with a major energy company through March 2027 with five- or seven-year extension options. The $216 million bridge loan used for its acquisition will be refinanced in July 2026 by an eight-year JOLCO facility.
1. Delivery and Charter Commencement
Capital Clean Energy Carriers officially took delivery of the 174,000 cbm LNG carrier Agamemnon on June 17, 2026, built by HD Hyundai Samho. The vessel commenced its previously announced time charter with a major energy company through March 2027, with options to start a five-year or seven-year charter thereafter.
2. Funding and Refinancing Strategy
The acquisition of Agamemnon was funded using cash on hand alongside a $216 million senior secured bridge loan facility. This bridge loan is set to be refinanced in July 2026 through the drawdown of an eight-year JOLCO facility of the same amount.
3. Fleet Expansion Pipeline
Agamemnon represents CCEC’s 14th latest-generation LNG carrier delivered to date. The company’s under-construction fleet comprises seven additional latest-generation LNG carriers scheduled for delivery between the third quarter of 2026 and the first quarter of 2029.
