Capstone Energy+ installs 2 MW CHP microturbine system at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego

Capstone Energy+ secured a 2 MW combined heat and power project for Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego using two C1000 Signature Series microturbines.

• The system targets 75% overall efficiency through on-site power generation and waste-heat recovery for heating and domestic hot water.
• The project includes island-mode capability to support operations during utility outages.
• Commissioning is expected in October 2026, with final startup activities set to continue through year-end.
