Celanese elected Luis Fernandez-Moreno to its board, effective Sept. 16, 2026; board size will rise to 11 directors.
Fernandez-Moreno serves on Ingevity’s board since 2016; he was interim president and CEO from October 2024 to April 2025.
He also sits on Select Water Solutions’ board; his career spans performance materials, specialty ingredients, coatings, strategy, innovation, growth, M&A.
Past roles include senior vice president at Ashland, leading the Chemicals Group and Specialty Ingredients; earlier executive vice president at Arch Chemicals.
He spent 25 years at Rohm & Haas, later becoming group vice president of Dow Coatings Materials following Dow’s acquisition.
