CETXCETX

Cemtrex’s AIS unit secured a $1.2 million industrial installation contract spanning Q1 2026 to Q1 2027 at a specialty manufacturing facility. In fiscal Q1, Cemtrex generated $16.1 million in revenue, up 17% year-over-year, with Industrial segment revenue up 28% to $10.6 million while reporting a $2.8 million operating loss.

1. Fiscal Q1 Results

Cemtrex reported fiscal Q1 revenue of $16.1 million, a 17% increase year-over-year, driven by Industrial segment demand. The Industrial unit delivered a record $10.6 million, up 28%, while the company posted a $2.8 million operating loss due to Security segment margin compression, weak government demand, and one-time charges.

2. $1.2M Industrial Contract Award

Advanced Industrial Services secured a $1.2 million contract with a large national general contractor for a specialty manufacturing facility in the Northeast. The multi-phase project, running from Q1 2026 to Q1 2027, covers planning, layout, unloading, installation and commissioning of tanks, agitators, condensers, freezers and related systems.

3. Cost Reductions and Acquisitions

Management has implemented annualized cost savings of $2.5–3.0 million and pricing adjustments in the Security segment to enhance margins. The acquisitions of Invocon and Richland Industries will expand Aerospace & Defense and Southeastern industrial services, with Invocon expected to deliver $6–7 million and Richland $8–10 million in revenue over the next 12 months.

4. Cash Position and Tariff Recovery Efforts

Cemtrex ended the quarter with $20.5 million in cash and equivalents, bolstering financial flexibility for integration and growth initiatives. The company is evaluating potential recovery of tariff expenses under recent legal developments, though the timing and amount remain uncertain.
