Westport affiliate Cespira, its joint venture with Volvo Group, disclosed new technical details for the HPDI 3.0 high-pressure direct injection system.

HPDI 3.0 targets better fuel economy through tighter rail-pressure control, higher injection pressure, improved durability, and stronger OEM integration flexibility.

Production is scheduled to start in Q4 2026, with first vehicles expected on the road in early 2027.
