CHMG•Chemung Financial plans to rebrand Chemung Canal Trust as Canal Bank & Trust, N.A., combining Capital Bank and Canal Bank under one brand through 2027.
1. Planned rebranding
Chemung Financial plans to combine its Capital Bank and Canal Bank divisions under the Canal Bank & Trust, N.A., name, with the rollout planned through 2027. Its CFS Group financial-services subsidiary will remain, offering mutual funds, annuities, brokerage, tax preparation and insurance.
