Choice Hotels names Jeff Lobb SVP and General Counsel effective March 26
Choice Hotels International will appoint Jeff Lobb as SVP, General Counsel & Secretary on March 26, 2026, to oversee global legal, public policy and governance. He succeeds Simone Wu, retiring this spring after 14 years leading governance, and brings nearly two decades of in-house counsel experience since joining in 2006.
1. Appointment and Role
Choice Hotels International will elevate Jeff Lobb to SVP, General Counsel & Secretary effective March 26, 2026. In this capacity, he will direct the company’s global legal team, public policy initiatives and corporate governance functions as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
2. Succession and Transition
Lobb will succeed Simone Wu, who will retire this spring after 14 years as General Counsel & Secretary. The two will collaborate in coming weeks to ensure a seamless transition of legal and board administration responsibilities.
3. Experience and Qualifications
Since joining Choice Hotels in 2006, Lobb has served as Deputy General Counsel overseeing corporate finance, transactions and board administration. He has supported mergers and acquisitions, real estate ventures and major commercial agreements, earning recognition as Outstanding In-House Counsel.
