Chubb names Michael O’Donnell president of Tempest Re, James Wixtead executive chairman

Chubb reshuffled leadership at Chubb Tempest Re, effective Aug. 1.

• James Wixtead moved to executive chairman from senior vice president, Chubb Group and president, Chubb Tempest Re Group.
• Michael O'Donnell was named senior vice president, Chubb Group and president, Chubb Tempest Re, succeeding Wixtead.
• O'Donnell has led Chubb Tempest Re USA since 2014; he joined in 2006 as a casualty treaty underwriter, and previously worked at General Reinsurance.
• Wixtead will oversee governance and advise on strategy, while O'Donnell takes day-to-day management, reporting to Evan Greenberg and John Keogh.
