Cirrus expands Grand Forks manufacturing plant by 30,000 square feet to boost capacity

Cirrus Aircraft opened a multi-million-dollar expansion of its Grand Forks, North Dakota manufacturing facility to lift composite production capacity.

• The project adds more than 30,000 square feet to streamline manufacturing flow, raise efficiency, and support higher SR Series output.
• Added space increases automation capability, improves equipment integration, and strengthens workplace safety across composite operations.
• Grand Forks will manufacture composites for the new TRAC10 flight training aircraft as Cirrus broadens its production footprint.
• The site employs about 500 people, with roughly 80% in direct manufacturing; the expansion includes new job creation.
