Cisco Expands Secure AI Factory with RTX PRO 4500 GPUs and 102.4Tbps Edge Switch

CSCOCSCO

Cisco expanded its Secure AI Factory with NVIDIA, enabling AI deployment from data centers to edge sites with RTX PRO 4500 Blackwell GPUs. It embeds Hybrid Mesh Firewall on BlueField DPUs, adds AI Defense for OpenShell, and launches a 102.4Tbps N9100 switch with Spectrum-6 silicon to cut deployments to weeks.

1. Edge AI Expansion

Cisco’s Secure AI Factory now supports NVIDIA RTX PRO 4500 Blackwell GPUs across UCS and Unified Edge platforms, enabling real-time AI inference at hospitals, warehouses and in-vehicle applications without relying on centralized data center hardware.

2. High-Speed Networking Upgrades

The company introduced a 102.4Tbps Cisco N9100 switch powered by NVIDIA Spectrum-6 silicon alongside its existing 800G N9100 with Spectrum-4, and offers two validated reference architectures through the NVIDIA Cloud Partner program and Cisco Silicon One designs.

3. Integrated Security

Security enhancements extend Hybrid Mesh Firewall policy enforcement to NVIDIA BlueField DPUs embedded in GPU servers and integrate Cisco AI Defense to govern OpenShell agents, safeguarding against external threats and rogue agent behaviors without performance trade-offs.

4. Deployment Acceleration

Integration of Nexus Hyperfabric with the N9000 Series transforms multi-vendor setups into a unified stack, compressing AI infrastructure deployment timelines from months to weeks and reducing operational complexity for IT teams.
