CI&T survey shows only 29% of UK payments leaders very confident in National Payments Vision delivery

CI&T research found 82% of UK payments leaders back the National Payments Vision, while 29% are very confident it will work.

• 349 of 350 respondents expect communication problems, with delivery milestones the top concern at 33%.
• Modernisation is seen as incremental: 85% want next-generation infrastructure built around today’s systems, rising to 98% among senior executives.
• Clear governance was flagged as critical by 100% of executive leaders, versus 59% of product and innovation leaders.
• 97% see lessons in Brazil’s Pix rollout, as UK authorities consult on next-generation payments infrastructure on Sept. 11, 2026.
