C•Citi reduced its year-end bitcoin forecast by $25,000 to $150,000 and trimmed its 2027 target to $200,000. It also cut ether estimates from $12,000 to $9,000 for 2026 and from $18,000 to $14,000 for 2027 after bitcoin ETFs recorded a weekly outflow of $124m.
1. Forecast Reduction Details
Citi lowered its year-end bitcoin forecast to $150,000 from $175,000 and set its 2027 target at $200,000, down from $225,000. The bank also cut ether’s 2026 estimate to $9,000 from $12,000 and its 2027 forecast to $14,000 from $18,000.
2. ETF Flow Trends
The revisions follow the first weekly outflow of $124 million from spot bitcoin ETFs and modest redemptions in recent sessions. Citi analysts warn that sustained negative ETF flows could undermine crypto price momentum and investor demand.
